Cheney Place Wedding | Brenna + Cody

Brenna and Cody are officially married and I couldn’t be more excited for them! They had the most adorable brunch wedding at the Cheney Place celebrating with their family and friends from near and far. It was such an emotional day with so many happy tears and sentimental details.

You may remember Brenna + Cody from their winter engagement session and you may remember a little about their love story: Brenna is a brunch enthusiast, Michigan Native, and a killer lash artist and Cody is from Colorado and is a Youtube beat boxing star. Check him out here if you haven’t already. Oh and they have the best youtube channel together: Beauty & the Beat. Brenna and Cody met on Instagram (yes for real)! Here is the short story: Brenna sent Cody a DM and Cody quickly got back. They instantly connected with each other and chatted for hours. Shortly after, Cody decided to come visit Brenna in Michigan. They had their first date and from there they visited each other and talked constantly. Next thing, Cody decided to make the move to Michigan. They got engaged. They got married. They are the cutest couple. And to top it all off, they are getting a frenchie.

You may not know this about me, but I have a French Bulldog named Fern. She is pretty cute (I may be biased but I think not). A couple years ago Brenna reached out to me to ask questions about Fern. She is obsessed with Frenchies and told me one day she would hopefully have her own. A couple months ago, Cody reached out to me and asked me where I got Fern. He got in contact and purchased a Frenchie from the next litter for Brenna for a wedding gift (yep adorable). This meant I had to keep a SUPER exciting secret to myself for a couple months. At the reception he announced to all of their guests that Brenna and him were “expecting.” Brenna opened up her note from Cody with a picture of a French Bulldog on the front and a little note from their soon to be puppy and Brenna’s tears started to flow (they are expecting a puppy if you missed it). Can’t wait to meet this new family member of theirs!

There were SO many wonderful moments to the day. From Brenna’s first look with her dad (cue the tears immediately). Brenna’s moment getting her dress on with her mom and sister (more tears). Brenna and Cody’s letters that they exchanged before the ceremony (even more tears). Brenna’s dramatic exit out of the old freight elevator at the Cheney place and Cody seeing her for the first time looking absolutely gorgeous (the most tears). The extremely yummy brunch, awesome cupcakes, mimosas and the best noon dancing I have ever seen, as well as Cody putting on a free show by beat boxing at the reception for his family and friends. You guys, it was just a good day!
