Johnson Park Wedding | Tarra and Kevin

I feel incredibly honored to be able to say that I documented Tarra and Kevin’s wedding day that took place at Johnson Park. It was a super beautiful day (that was originally calling for rain all day but that didn’t happen).  They couldn’t have asked for a better day for an outdoor wedding in October in Michigan. Tarra and Kevin are people that are just enjoyable to be around and photograph and probably some of the kindest two people you will met. Their love is visible and it was obvious that all of their friends and family felt the same from the things that were shared during their wedding day. Plus their first dance was to a Dave Matthews Band song so you already know they are awesome. They had a super meaningful ceremony that was officiated by Kevin’s Aunt. After the ceremony it turned into a party with great friends and family, beer that Tarra and Kevin brewed for their guests, and the best food (my favorite wedding food to date actually: Saladino Smoke BBQ). Oh, and there was lots and lots of dancing! Tarra and I met up a couple weeks before the wedding day at Johnson Park to discuss some final details and we ran into a couple that was taking a walk through the park that reached out to talk to Tarra to tell her that they had their wedding there 25 years ago and told her they loved everything about getting married at the park. I love that they will be able to revisit Johnson Park over and over again and remember their wedding day. I hope these images also help them relive their wedding day over and over again.
