Winter Engagement Session | Ellissa + Matt Engaged

Ellissa + Matt are considered a professional engaged couple in my eyes. But for real, they were such a joy to photograph; everything came so natural as they simple enjoyed each other as I photographed their love. Ellissa wore an incredible black and gold long dress and Matt’s suit jacket paired wonderfully with her look.

We lucked out with a sunny day in March. The day these images were taken the snow was on it’s way out and it was pretty much melted into a muddy mess 2 days later. We had perfect timing and probably got the last day of the beautiful Michigan snow. Now that we got these beautiful images of Matt and Ellissa, I am 100% ready for Spring (it is the first day of Spring today after all).

We ended the session at the Blue Bridge. It was only fitting, since both Matt and Ellissa are from the East side of the state and they met in Grand Rapids and now live here. The blue bridge is such an iconic Grand Rapids landmark so it was a joy to incorporate it into their love story.
