The Eastern Detorit Wedding | Amanda + Josh

I am so excited to share this wedding with you! I know Amanda and Josh were excited to tie the knot; but the question is: was I just as excited about their wedding day as they were?! Amanda and Josh got married downtown Detroit in one of the most beautiful churches I have ever photographed in. It was in the heart of the city and had vibrant colors throughout the entire church. It felt like we stepped back in time.

After they tied the knot we went to some iconic Detroit locations: Parker’s Alley behind Shinola Hotel and the Z lot to get the most incredible sunlight and skyline of Detroit.

There were so many things I loved about this wedding day: all of Amanda’s incredible details that pulled together her look, the lovely light in the getting ready hotel room, the guys suite at the Foundation Hotel, the quotes about love that Amanda and Josh had at their guest book table (one by Phoebe Buffay), the colorful desserts, the succulent theme (my favorite), the overall look of the Venue, working with Christina from To The Nines Events all day, the late night snack Taco Truck, the soft and romantic flowers, the historic church, the fun bridal party, the dancing; the dance floor was packed all night, but most of all the amazing couple: Amanda and Josh! Thanks for letting Megan and I be the ones to document your INCREDIBLE day. It was one for the books!
